Thank you for this opportunity to introduce you to the Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em Club. If you are already familiar with us, hopefully this will provide you with a better understanding of our past and objectives.

Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em was organized in the mid 70’s by five men we call the “Original Five”. The club was first established as a social group to promote the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. It was decided at the time that all active members be designated as “Presidents”. Since that beginning, the club has grown to be recognized and respected as an active force in the community with over one hundred active “Presidents” and some twenty Honorees. The primary goal of the Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em Club is to support education and youth charities while, at the same time, provide a vehicle for the social gatherings of friends and families with similar desires.

We have been awarded 501 (c) 3 status making us a totally non-profit charitable organization.

Eight (8) years ago, we became serious about committing funds to Charitable and Educational Institutions where scholarships are awarded to qualified students. We participate in the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo School Art Auction each year where our Club is recognized as a Corporate Sponsor and a full four-year $10,000 scholarship has been awarded in our Club’s name for each of the past Eight (8) years and in the Livestock Show’s Calf Scramble program where our Club sponsors a calf each year. Each year we team up with San Jacinto College Foundation with a $10,000 donation that funds ten (10) fall/spring $1,000 scholarships on an annual basis. We are involved with the Houston Farm & Ranch Club where we provide funds for two (2) $3,000 scholarships that are awarded in the amount of $1,000 each year to our recipients over a period of three (3) years. Since 1989 our Hold’em and Hit’em Club has made contributions in excess of $320,000 to Charitable & Educational Institutions and various county fairs supporting our youth and their education in this great state of ours. There is plenty more work to be done.

You can help by being a sponsor at one of our events we hold each year. As a sponsor of either the Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em Bar-Be-Que Cook-off, Golf Classic Tournament, or our Fishing Tournament, you will be instrumental and vital to the continued growth and expansion of our scholarships. Donation sponsorships, such as door prizes, cash, silent auction items and/or giveaways are needed. All sponsor money goes toward area youth scholarships and charities. Hold ‘Em & Hit ‘Em has no OVERHEAD; volunteers complete ALL work. We are truly a non-profit, charitable organization that needs YOUR support. Without the support of businesses and people like you, we could not continue to grow.
