Since our launch in 2022, the Hold’em & Hit’em Club's Sporting Clay Tournament has not only taken off but soared! Our inaugural event on Thursday, May 12, 2022, set a high benchmark, drawing twenty competitive 4-person teams to the prestigious Westside Sporting Grounds in Katy, Texas. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every participant, supporter, and sponsor who joined us, contributing to our vital mission of supporting youth and educational initiatives. Your enthusiasm and generous support have been the driving force behind our success.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

My name is Matt Karcher and I am honored to be the Chairman of the Third Annual Hold’em & Hit’em Sporting Clay Tournament.

I want to express our most sincere appreciation and thanks for your consideration in participating in this year’s tournament and for making last year’s inaugural tournament a huge success.

Building on the momentum of our first two exhilarating tournaments, we're thrilled to announce a pivotal evolution in our journey. To foster consistency and ensure our tournament becomes a staple in your annual calendar, we're shifting to a new date pattern. Mark your calendars: starting in June 2024, the Hold’em & Hit’em Club's Sporting Clay Tournament will claim the first Thursday of June each year as its own!

This strategic shift solidifies our commitment to delivering an exceptional experience year after year and opens doors for even more participants to join our cause. As we aim to double our entries, stay tuned for more details. Your passion for sportsmanship and dedication to making a difference in the lives of our youth can make the 2024 tournament our most impactful event yet.

Hold‘em & Hit‘em Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to support education and youth charities through our mulitple fundraising events. We give to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo by purchasing art from the School Art Auction and donating calves to the Calf Scramble, including a Hard Luck calf as well as Mystery Calf donations. We support eight surrounding county fairs (Brazoria County, Colorado County, East Montgomery County, Ft. Bend County, Galveston County, Harris County, Montgomery County and Waller County) through purchases of project animals at auctions and sponsorship of calf scramble calves. We also provide scholarship monies for Lone Star College and are a top-tier donor to the San Jacinto College Foundation.

Since 1992 Hold’em & Hit’em Club has contributed over $1.2 Million dollars to charitable & educational institutions to support the youth of Texas. None of this would be possible without event participants and sponsors like you. All donations are tax-deductible, and we provide a “Corporate Sponsor” form for any monies donated, or an “In-Kind Donor” form for any auction items/goods or services donated (these forms are for tax purposes only).
